To most, the economy, education and healthcare are priority issues. The Ontario Non-profit Housing Association came to us to get people to pay attention to affordable housing — so the politicians paid attention. Studies have shown that when people are housed, the get better grades, and don't disrupt the classroom. When people are housed, they lead healthier lives, putting less strain on the healthcare system. And when people are housed, they get jobs and contribute to a healthier economy. We created a travelling exhibit to inform the public. They we're than asked to ring the doorbell, which registered a 'ring' of support wirelessly to our campaign website in real time - showing levels of government that people care about this issue.
The installation travelled to 10 cities across Ontario.
